[SNS] 3on3 Idea Contest

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of 3on3 FreeStyle, we are hosting a special Idea Contest.

This event invites players to submit a wide range of creative works—outfits, pets, accessories, illustrations, 3D models, videos, BGM, worldbuilding, stories, character concepts, and more.

[How to Participate]

1) Submission Method

- Submit any creative work inspired by the 3on3 universe:
outfits, illustrations, 3D models, videos, BGM, story concepts, character design documents, and more.

- Participation requires uploading your work as a public post on:
Twitter(X), Facebook, or Instagram → Private or restricted posts cannot be reviewed.

- Discord sharing is optional and is used for community engagement only.

SNS upload alone completes your submission.

Required Information in Your SNS Post

• Platform / UID / In-game Nickname (SN)
• Your submission (image, outfit, concept art, model render, story, video, BGM, etc.)
• Event hashtags: #3on3Freestyle #5thAnniversaryIdea
(Missing hashtags may cause your entry to be omitted during review.)

 

General Submission Notes

- Multiple submissions allowed (only one winning entry per person)

- Recommended resolution for images: 1000 × 1000 px or higher

- Any format allowed: image, video, audio, text, or combined forms

- AI-generated works are not accepted

- Works with copyright violations or inappropriate content are disqualified

2) Suggested Creative Themes

Your submission may explore—without limitation—the following ideas:

-       Outfits / pets / accessories you want added to 3on3

-       Storylines or worldbuilding concepts connected to the 3on3 universe

-       New character ideas: appearance, personality, skills, background

-       Promotional video concepts (teasers, shorts, cinematic clips, etc.)

-       Any new idea that expands the world of 3on3

These are examples only; any creative concept related to 3on3 is welcome.

 

3) Submission Guidelines by Type

A. Image-Based Works
(Outfit design, character illustration, social image, poster, 3D model, map concept, etc.)

- Must include at least one completed final image

- You may submit:

• 2D illustration

• Designs using the official 3-view model sheet

• 3D modeling render images

• Concept art, map sketches, effect concepts

Work Process Submission (Recommended)

-       For images, videos, or 3D model–based works,
include at least 2 work-in-progress images or a simple timelapse video
(This helps verify originality during review.)

-       If not provided, the review team may request original project files such as PSD or Clip Studio files.

-       If SNS limits attachment count, upload additional images using threads or comments.

 

B. Video-Based Works

(Highlight concepts, trailers, camera movement ideas)

- Recommended length: 15–60 seconds

- Video should clearly demonstrate the idea, such as:

• Map intro scenes

• Skill or motion effect concepts

• Camera movement and lighting direction

• Composition or visual effects

- Submit by uploading the file to SNS or by providing a YouTube/Twitter link.

C. Audio-Based Works

(BGM, ambience, UI sound concepts, SFX proposals)

- Submit a 30–60 second sample

- Include a brief description of the intended mood or concept

- File upload or external link (YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.) is accepted

 

D. Document-Based Works

(Story documents, event concepts, character design sheets, UI/UX concepts, worldbuilding)

- Submit using text, images, or PDF format

- Narrative, conceptual, and structural proposals are all permitted

 

4) Submission Rules & Notes

- Submissions after the deadline will not be reviewed

- If multiple posts exist, the most recent version at the deadline will be reviewed

- Participants agree to all contest rules when submitting

- AI-generated works are disqualified

- Works that violate copyright or community guidelines will be removed

- Original source files may be requested for verification

- Submission Period: Dec 10 – Jan 2 (23:59 PST)

- Internal Review: Jan 3 – Jan 7

- Winner Announcement: Jan 8

- Reward Distribution: Starting Jan 15

- Overall Flow: Submission → (Optional Discord Sharing) → Internal Review → Winner Selection → Rewards Granted

Good Idea Award (Up to 10 Winners)

-       100 Points

-       Silver-Grade Designer Nametag

-       Evaluated mainly on creativity and community appeal

 

Creative Award (Up to 5 Winners)

-       500 Points

-       Creative Designer Nametag

-       Evaluated on completion level and potential in-game applicability

 

Dev’s Pick (1 Winner)

-       3,000 Points

-       Platinum-Grade Designer Nametag

-       In-game wearable Crown item

-       Selected by the development team; ideas with strong potential for in-game implementation are prioritized

※ Important Notes

- SNS reactions may assist evaluation but do not determine final winners. Winners are selected through internal review.

- Point rewards may be adjusted depending on internal circumstances.

 

[Q&A]

1) Can I submit multiple works?

- Yes, you can submit multiple works but only one work will be considered. You cannot received duplicate reward.

2) Will you select winner for all category? In other words, will we have 3 winners for this event?

- No, we only select one winner regardless of category.

3) Will JOYCITY gets the copyright of all submitted work?

- No, only winner’s design. If you do not win first prize, we will not get any license for your design.

4) Can I participate 2024’s contest if I was accepted for 2023?

- Yes, your previous result does not affect for current contest. But we will not accept same design if you are in the Top 5.

5) Can I promote my work on other channel?

- Yes, but you MUST upload your work either on Twitter (X) or Facebook.

[Terms & Condition]

1.      You must submit your work within submission period. Any submission submitted AFTER event period will be disregarded

2.      You must provide all designated information and include event hashtags to be considered as candidate

3.      You must upload your work to declared SNS (Twitter & Facebook). Any submission uploaded on other platform will not be considered

4.      No violation of copyright, age rating, legal rights, and company’s image

5.      If any legal issue occurs regarding submission, all responsibilities are on contributor’s side

6.      Only one submission will be selected for one candidate. If we find duplicate winner, only one work will be selected and others will be disregarded

7.      Getting most vote does not guarantee your winning of contest. Vote count and internal review of 3on3 art team will select the winner

8.      2nd to 5th winner will be determined based on your vote count

9.      We may not select the winner or make winner’s design if there is no appropriate design

10.   Winner’s design may be renewed to match with 3on3 Freestyle’s design

11.   All reward and reward distribution date are subject to change without notice

12.   Copyright of winner’s design will be bound to JOYCITY and 3on3 FreeStyle team and all participants are aware of and agree with this condition

13.   Winner’s design is expected to be produced by June, 2024. This may change without notice

14.   We may produce winner’s design with renewed design or color in future

15.   We may ask you for the original file (PSD) of work. Refuse to provide such file may cause disqualification
